I'm not sure how long this can go on. Think about the 65% living paycheck-to-paycheck.

I play pool - like all the time - I've never seen this group of people nervous about anything in their life - they are worried that they don't have money to eat or pay rent or for regular bills - my one friend from Milan makes pasta for about 150 restaurants in Miami, Broward and Palm Beach - he can't pay anyone going forward he told me and there are almost no orders

Yeah, it’s almost like the awesome Trump economy didn’t reach all Americans?

It reached them better than any economy in our lifetimes.

The shutdowns are having impacts several levels deep. But of course the policy makers only see Level 1. This economic disaster was completely predictable. I've been against shutdowns since they first popped up. I know how the bottom half, which includes small businesses make ends meet. It's entirely different than the top half.

Do you know that unincorporated small business owners (there are many millions of them) who were shut down cannot even collect unemployment. Peoples lives are being destroyed. Let the damned virus run its course. Let everybody back to work. Even now that may not be enough to save the economy. Too many people are unnecessarily spooked. The consumer needs to spend money. Not hunker down.

Aren't Trump's trillion USD in checks to go out soon?

Employers (Burger King, McDonalds) could always offer their employees cash advances for future considerations. Or offer them free burgers that they make themselves.

In any case, i don't believe your 65% of America will be starving & out panhandling, begging, prostituting themselves & thieving in a few days or weeks.

No, its not you fucken retard - people in the restaurant business - like waiters, bar people, strippers, etc. - they aint exactly the pillars of society - doesn't make them bad people but they don't save money and they are living the life they chose - not the one Donnie Trump chose for them - I would imagine 90% of service people have less than 5K in the bank - but yeah, it's Trump's fault they didn't get into computer engineering

Having more money in your pocket during a thriving economy doesn’t make you smarter or spend less haha. People that aren’t very bright spend what they have on things they don’t need. That doesn’t change because they got more money back in taxes.

Do you think about what type before you hit submit?

Some people just spout off their ignorance , some think it’s economic suicide at this point and if goes more than 4 more weeks it will be

America’s restaurant industry employs about 15.6 million people and is the second-largest private employer in the country. However, the coronavirus pandemic has brought the entire industry to its knees in recent weeks. Large chains and independent businesses have all had to take drastic operational measures in response to the rapid spread of the virus”

Have him check this site out

And there's more to follow, there may be state programs as well

Call utility companies about delaying payments
Call lenders about forbearance agreements
Call taxing authorities about payment plans

we can lead a horse to the water, ......

teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime, give a man a fish,........

you have the freedom to pursue happiness

as my man, the great Italian artist already pointed out, those demographics were doing better than ever under Trump.

The democrats have been making the same promises to the same people for 50 years and counting, the only thing they've delivered is more poverty, more despair, more crime and fewer fathers.

I'll close by quoting the eloquent Sir Charles Barkley; "Poor people have been voting for democrats for 50 years, and they're still poor".
